About Reginald Bruce (Reg) Burrage
Born in Melbourne in 1917, Reg Burrage studied in Melbourne before joining the RAAF in 1935. After a distinguished career he left the Air Force in 1958 as an Air Commodore. He then began to paint seriously and is known for his traditional landscapes and seascapes mostly in watercolour, but also in oil. He has travelled almost annually to New Zealand and exhibits both in New Zealand and Victoria.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1987.
