About Andrew McLeod
Painter, digital artist and printmake Andrew McLeod was born in Rotorrua in 1976, but grew up in Auckland. He studied at the University of Auckland Elam School of Fine Art, the National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries (NICAI), Auckland University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1998. He won the National Drawing Award in 2004 and was the McCahon House artist in residence in 2007. In he was the recipient of an Arts Foundation Award for Patronage Donation from Gus & Irene Fisher in 2010. He has held solo exhibitions around New Zealand and participated in group shows in Melbourne, Hong Kong and Berlin. He lives and works in Auckland.
