Born in Bendigo in 1901, Thomas Bone received his art training in Victoria under Arthur Woodward and worked as a teacher. In 1925 He moved to Adelaide, South Australia and worked as a senior teacher with the South Australian Education Department. In 1950 he travelled to the UK where he painted in southern England, and to Europe and America. He is best known for his watercolour landscapes and figurative paintings.
