Born in Bendigo in 1892, Cohn studied at the Bendigo School of Mines, Swinburne Technical College and under Henry Moore at the Royal College of Arts in London. She was a pioneer of modern sculpture in Australia and was president of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.
