Born in Colac, Victoria in 1958, Stephen Bush studied in at RMIT in Melbourne and on a study tour to the USA. He has exhibited his work in Melbourne and Sydney since 1984, and has also exhibited in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin. Bush has received a number of awards, including the Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize at Bendigo Art Gallery in 2007, and is multiple recipient of the Australia Council overseas residencies including Paris (1993), New York (2012), and London (2016).
We have records of art auction sales by Stephen Bush from 1993 and in total 80 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 53 (66%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $52,800 for The Lure of Paris #18 sold by Deutscher and Hackett in April 2011. This year one work has been offered for sale.
