About Percy Stanhope Hobday

A traditional landscape artist, working in oils, Percy Hobday is the son of James Mayall Hobday (1845-1909). He studied at Brisbane Technical College and with his father. He taught at secondary level and was president of the Queensland Artists Society from 1928 to 1931.

Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1997.
