Ronald Center was born in Richmond Victoria in 1913. He studied at the George Bell School in Bourke Street Melbourne, the Contemporary Art Society and the Victorian Arts Society. He lectured in art at RMIT from 1947 for almost 30 years, retiring in 1976. Ronald Center is known for his still life painting and his genre subjects. During his career he exhibited in Melbourne with the Athenaeum Gallery and other leading Melbourne galleries.
