About Zhong Chen
Born in China in 1969, Chinese-Australian artist Xhong Chen arrived in Australia in 1988. He studied at North Adelaide School of Art and at Chelsea School of Art in London. His solo exhibitions include Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and New York, along with many national and international group exhibitions.Prizes include Finalist for the Art Gallery of New South Wales Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes in 2007, an Australian Council Grant for a three month residency at the International Studio and Curatorial Program, New York in 2005 and the 2003 SBS Australian Contemporary Art Award, Federation Square.
