David Jolly was born in Melbourne in 1972 and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1992. Many of his works are in oil or enamel painted on the reverse side of glass. He was a founding member of Stripp Gallery, Melbourne, and a studio artist at 200 Gertrude Street from 1993 to 1995. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Australia and abroad, including regular solo exhibitions at Sutton Gallery, Melbourne since 2001.
