Born in Otago in 1923, Roy Dickison was a traditional painter of landscapes, a teacher and stained glass designer. He travelled to England after World War II and worked and exhibited there for two years. From 1952 he taught at secondary level in the Otago area. His work can be seen in the stained glass windows is several churces in the South Island of New Zealand. He was a member of the otago Art Society for 60 years.
