Australian Aboriginal artist Tjumpo Tjapanangka was born circa 1929 and primarily works in acrylics and also is a creator of tribal artefacts. Tjumpo Tjapanangka died in 2007.
We have records of art auction sales by Tjumpo Tjapanangka from 1997 and in total 100 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 61 (61%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $266,318 for Wati Kutjarra (Two Brothers) sold by Sotheby's in May 2022. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023. Works by Tjumpo Tjapanangka are held by the National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of Western Australia and a further three major public national galleries (see list below).
