About Brett Lethbridge
After studying law at university, Brisbane based Brett Lethbridge changed course and began drawing and painting in 1998 and spent a year living and working in Siena, Italy. As well as painting in oil on canvas, he is also an illustrator and cartoonist featuring frequently in Brisbane's Courier Mail newspaper. In 2004 he opened his gallery in Paddington, Brisbane, originally intended to showcase his own work, but has since grown to include original paintings by new artists, commissions, artist workshops and art prizes including the Lethbridge National Art Prize, a $10,000 prize, open to national and international artists for small-scale artworks.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,116 for Love Knot with Horse 2005 sold by Leonard Joel in June 2017.
