Born in Ballarat, Victoria in 1931, Joy Peck studied at the Warrnambool Technical School and the National Gallery School, Melbourne. A painter and teacher, she lived in the then bohemian village of Eltham in Victoria in the 1950’s and 1960’s and later in th emelbourne subsurb of Fitzroy. Joy Peck taught pottery and enamel work at the Adult Education Department in Victoria for many years. She has exhibited widely including the Biennale des Enmaux at Limoges in France in 1977.
