Rose Nolan was born in Melbourne in 1959 and studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in the late '70s and was the first artist in residence at University of Auckland Elam School of Fine Arts in 2002. She works across a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking. Many of her works are text based to convey a political message. She has held numerous solo exhibitions, in Melbourne, Sydney and Wellington (NZ). Her works are held in numerous public collections including NGA Canberra, NGV, Melbourne; AGNSW, Sydney; AGSA, Adelaide; MCA, Sydney; Heide MOMA, Melbourne and Monash University Museum of Art.
We have records of art auction sales by Rose Nolan from 2008 and in total 17 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 8 (47%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,262 for Ibid. Public Projects sold by Art+Object in April 2008. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023.
