Born in South Australia in 1885, Gerrard Gayfield Shaw was best known as an etcher, bookplate designer and gallery director. He studied at the Adelaide School of Design under JS Watkins. He founded the Australian Painter-Etchers' Society with Sydney Long 1920.Shaw's work is represented in several print collections.
