James Robertson was born in 1968 in Melbourne. He studied Industrial Design at Swinburne University Melbourne, and after 10 years working as a designer and automotive design engineer, he discovered a passion for painting. Working as a self taught artist since 2000, he is strives to capture atmosphere, tension and drama whilst interspersed with a humorous but contemplative narrative. He has exhibited in solo shows, group shows and art fairs throughout Australia and internationally since 2003.
