Born in Victoria in 1943, Hilary Jackman studied illustration at RMIT from 1960–63 in Melbourne and worked as an illustrator before joining the 'Seven Painters' in 1971. She has exhibited her landscapes, seascapes still-lifes, nudes and portraits in Melbourne and Adelaide since 1973 and held her first soloexhibition in 1978. and has won several awards. She is a founding member of Artery Cooperative in Northcote, Melbourne.
