Born in Victoria in 1948, Jamie Boyd studied firstly under his father, Arthur Boyd, and his early work reflects his influence. He then studied music and composition at the Central School of Art and Design in London in the late 1960s. He has exhibited in Sydney and internationally in London, Germany, Holland and Italy. Since his first solo exhibition in Adelaide in 1966 he has had numerous exhibitions throughout Australia and in London and Amsterdam.
