About William E.(Bill) Yaxley
Born in Melbourne in 1943, Bill Yaxley was an itinerant worker in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America, and did not start painting until his mid-30s. He moved to an orchard in Queensland where he continued painting, holding the first of many solo shows in Rockhampton in 1969.
