Born in Adelaide in 1911, studied at the North Adelaide School of Fine Arts, and the George Bell School in Melbourne. Working in oil, Pulleine is known for his flower paintings. He served in World War II, and after the war resumed his career. He exhibited in group shows at the Hahndorf Academy in 1970 and 1972.
