About Emily Jackson
Born in New Zealand in 1909, Emily Jackson lived in Auckland from 1957, but did not become a painter until the 1970s when she was in her 60s. Mentored by Colin McCahon, she is best known for her primitive figurative paintings and New Zealand landscapes using oil and acrylics. Emily Jackson exhibited with the Auckland Society of Arts.
