About Vic O'Connor
Born in Victoria in 1918, O'Connor qualified as a lawyer before entering the army in 1941. He later studied under George Bell and along with Noel Counihan became regarded as Australia’s most prominent Social Realist artist.
Vic O'Connor is one of the most prolific of the artists listed in our database, with the number of works offered for sale by auction since 1969 of 529, of which 308 (58%) were sold.
