Deborah Sleeman is a Renmark born South Australian sculptor, based on Kangaroo Island off the coast of Adelaide. She was awarded an Advanced Diploma of Applied and Visual Art, NASA in 2001 and a Bachelor of Visual Art and Design from the Adelaide Central School of Art. in 2006. She works with granite, bronze, steel, cast glass, recycled metal and objects, in her sculptures as well as practicing drawing, printmaking and photography. She has held solo exhibitions in Sydney and Adelaide since 2005, participated in group shows in the eastern states of Australia and been engaged in numerous community art projects, workshops and residencies both on Kangaroo Island and elsewhere in Australia.

Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 2009.
