About Dee Jones
Born in South Australia in 1933, Dee Jones studied fine arts at Flinders University. Known for her bright and colourful naïve representations of genre subjects, she held her first solo show in Adelaide in 1968, and later exhibited in Canberra and Brisbane.
The earliest auction listing we have for Dee Jones is in 1984 and in total 18 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 13 (72%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $4,200 for View from Phaestos Crete sold by Bonhams & Goodman in November 2008.
