About Beatrice Roe
Beatrice Roe was born in Portsmouth, England in 1920 and migrated to Australia with her family in 1948. In the late 1950s she enrolled in a 3 year course at the Julian Ashton School and in the early 1970s completed a Diploma course in Fine Art at the University of Sydney. A watercolourist and printmaker, she was active with a number of art groups in Sydneys Northern Beaches area. She exhibited with the Lane Cove Art Society from 1972 to 1989. Beatrice Roe won numerous awards at local art competitions.
