Sir Bernard Evans, was an army officer, lord mayor, architect and builder. The depression saw Evans move to Perth with his father to establish a brand of their timber and hardware business. This move bought him into contact with Claude de Bernales. After a number of country projects together, Bernales contracted Evans to design and supervise the construction of the now well-known Perth landmark "London Court". After this, he travelled to London to work on another de Bernales project, Westralia House, During World War II, he became the youngest battalion commander in the AIF and was apparently, "an inspiration to his men!"

Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 2021.

Bernard Evans (Architect) is not listed in any of the standard biographical references listed on our references page.
