Robert den Ronden was born in Keighley in Yorkshire, known as Bronte country.Rob developed an appreciation and love of the daily life in the small Yorkshire villages, and began painting village life while still a young boy. He won a scholarship to Bradford Art College, but chose instead to migrate to Australia, arriving in the 1950s.
