Born in 1819 in Norfolk, England, Robert Proctor Beauchamp migrated to New Zealand in 1839. After travelling between Britain, Australia and New Zealand, he finally settled near Launceston, Tasmania. He exhibited his paintings pencil and watercolour in Melbourne, Launceston and Otago, New Zealand.
