A daughter of John Perceval and Mary Boyd, Celia was born in Melbourne in 1949. With such artistic parentage it seemed natural for her to pursue a career as an artist> She studied and painted in London from 1963 to 1965 and in France and Italy from 1967 to 1971. In the mid 1970s 1976-88 she built a studio in Wales from 17th century ruins, where she based herself while painting and travelling throughout Europe and the UK and back to Australia regularly, holding exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, London, Ireland and Wales.
