James Marr Jarron was born in Brechin, Angus, Scotland in 1922. He was awarded Diploma of Art, Dundee Art College, Scotland, where he completed his studies following release from service in the RAF as a Wireless Operator in 1946 and also held a Diploma of Education. In 1958 he emigrated to Australia and made a career as an art teacher in the NSW State secondary school system from 1958 until 1983. He was active as an artist in Australia from 1958 to 1997, although most of his exhibition and sale activity was from 1983 onwards. He was made a Life Member of the Ku-Ring-Gai Art Society. James Jarron died in Wahroonga NSW in 2008.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 2022.
