Born in Egypt in 1920, George Voudouris served in the Greek Army during World War II. Before his arrival in Western Australia in 1948, he worked as an interior designer in Cairo and studied in the USA. He began teaching commercial art a Perth Technical College in 1969. A realist painter in oil and watercolour, he exhibited extensively in Perth.
