Born in Sydney in 1959 Milika Dwyer studied at Sydney College of the Arts and the University of NSW. A teacher, painter and sculptor she has held many solo exhibitions and numerous group shows. Influenced by early 20th-century art movements, including dada, constructivism and arte povera, her work pushes at the traditional limits of performance, sculpture and installation. She integrates all kinds of materials - from plants, mirrors, trinkets, fabric and perspex to clay, helium, wood, paint and wool - in different combinations,
