Born in Melbourne in 1944, Graeme Roche was mostly a self-taught painter, taking up the craft after moving to Queensland in the early 1970s. He travelled to UK, Europe and USA in 1981, returning to live in Melbourne. Roche died of lung cancer in 1995.
