About Patience Devas
Born in England, Patience Devas (nee Stern) studied at the Chelsea School of Art in London in 1948-49, the Maidstone School of Art, the the Heatherley School of Art and in Switzerland and Paris. She spent some time in Australia during the 1980s prior to returning to live in France and England. She was a painter working in pastel, and a sculptor working in bronze, wood, plaster and terracotta. She died in London in 2019.
