About Louise Feneley
Adelaide based artist Louise Feneley was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Art, Painting, from the South Australian School of Art, North Adelaide, in 1970 and an Advanced Diploma of Visual Art, and then a Bachelor of Visual Art with Honours from the Adelaide Central School of Art in 2000 and 2002. Working in both oil and watercolour she paints small "curiosities of nature". She has staged 17 solo exhibitions since 1971 in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as participating in group shows throughout Australia. Amongst her many prizes in art competitions, she has been a finalist in the Art Gallery of New South Wales Sulman Prize, and a four-time finalist in Casula Powerhouse Blake Prize for Religious Art.
