About Eliza Thurston
Born in England in 1807, Eliza Thurston (nee West) arrived in Australia in 1853. The daughter of the English artist John West, she is known for her watercolour sketches of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales. Her work is represented in the Mitchell Library in Sydney.
