Clifford Frith was born in London in 1924 and came to Australia in 1972. He became a senior lecturer at the Art School in North Adelaide. He exhibited his watercolours and sculpture in solo and group shows in Adelaide from 1970 through to 2004 and accepted commissions for works in public spaces including Wrest Point Casino, Hobart, Adelaide Festival Centre, Adelaide University, and Sydney Casino. In 2011 he was convicted for historic child sex offences and jailed for 18 months with a non-parole period of six months.
