A sculptor and painter, Peter Cole was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria. He studied at Prahran College of Adult Education from 1964 to 1968 and has exhibited his paintings and sculpture in Brisbane and Sydney from 1983, and participated in the Mildura Sculpture Triennial in 1975 and 1978. He has received a Visual Arts Board grant in 1978, 1983 and 1987. [He is to be distinguished from Peter D. Cole, also a sculptor born in Gawler, South Australia in 1947.]
