Fern Petrie is a New Zealand artist, born c1979 and at the age of 17 was selected to design the New Zealand 45c stamp. She graduated from the Maori Arts department of Auckland University in 2001. She lived in Perth, Western Australia for about 3 years returnig to New Zealand in 2013. Fern Petrie has been exhibiting since 1999 in solo shows in Auckland, Perth and Melbourne. Fern Petrie won New Zealand Post competition for the design of the 1997 45c Health Stamp and was a Finalist in the 2010 Albany Art Prize. She lives and works in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
