John Gardner, sculptor in bronze, was born in New York in 1942. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in New York, was an instructor in sculpture and then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts form the University of Connecticut in 1966. After working in New York he arrived in Australia in 1972, and became a lecturer at the Prharan College of the Arts and Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education. He moved to Sydney, where he now lives and exhibits.
