Born in the Kimberley region about 1922, Aboriginal artist Paddy Bedford was a member of the Rugun group and a founding member of the Jirrawun Arts organisation, established to assist the development of Kimberley indigenous artists. Hhe is one of eight Australian artists selected for an architectural commission for the Musée du quai Branly in 2006.
