Born in Germany, Sieglinde Battley studied widely Germany from 1960-63 and then worked in Europe and Iran prior to her arrival in Australia in 1978. In Australia she studied at the Claremont School of Fine Arts, where she was awarded a Diploma of Fine Art, and then at Curin University where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. An abstract artist, she has exhibited extensively throughout Australia, Indonesia, Iran and Germany.
