Born in Queensland in 1943, Brian Engris is a sculptor who works in lost wax carving. He creates figurative work in silver, bronze, aluminium and pewter, often of figures from Australian history. Engris has received several military commissions, and his work is represented in the Australian Defence Force Academy and Duntroon in Canberra.
