Born in Auckland in 1952, Wendy Leach studied at Elam School in Auckland. She became a secondary school art teacher in 1975 and held a number of taching positions she became a full time painter in 1996, and lived for six years in Belgium from 2009. Wendy Leach is best known as a landscape artist and had her first solo exhibition in Auckland in 1988.
