John Hargraves Hodgson was an Australian landscape painter, working in oils and watercolour, active from 1900 to 1933. He worked as the shipping manager for Anthony Hordern and Sons, Limited, for 52 years from 1883 to 1935. He exhibited at Anthony Hordern and Sons Gallery in 1919. He was a member of and exhibited with the Royal Art Society of New South Wales between 1899 and 1923, the Society of Artists, and the Australian Art Society in 1930. At the time of his death he was living in Lewisham, a Sydney suburb.
