Born in China in 1949, Graham Kuo arrived in Australia in 1963. He studied in Sydney, later becoming a lecturer in printmaking and painting. His abstract paintings have been shown widely in one man exhibitions since 1974. Kuo's work is represented in several state galleries, institutional and corporate collections, and major overseas galleries such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

The total number of works by Graham Kuo offered for sale by auction since 1989 is 113, of which 43 (38%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,455 for Golden Route sold by Lawsons in June 2018. This year 26 works have been offered for sale. Works by Graham Kuo are held by the Art Gallery of NSW, Ian Potter Museum of Art and a further three major public national galleries (see list below).
