Perth artist Greg Tothill studied drawing, design and product illustration at Perth Technical College and then Graphic Design and Illustration at Curtin University. He commenced his career as a graphic designer but was forced to leave the workforce years due to illness which lasted for about 10 years. During his recovery he began to paint, which developed to such an extent that he was invited to show at his first solo exhibition by a leading Perth gallery in 1997, followed by a further exhibition the following year. A traditional realist, he has won more than 98 art awards during his career.
