About E. W. Minchen
This artist may be Edward William Minchen, a botanical artist who was born in Western Australia 25 June 1852, but whose birth was registered under name of Minchin. He was the First Secretary/Treasurer of the Art Society of NSW, and exhibited circa 1880 to 1890, with his address shown as Survey Office, Sydney. He died Sydney, 5 October 1913, buried Gore Hill Cemetery, and the death was registered under name of Minchin.
