A New Zealand artist, writer and art critic, Pat Unger was born in the Waikato and studied at Christchurch Polytechnic and the University of Canterbury in the 1970's. She showed with the Canterbury Society of Arts and the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts in 1983. In 2008 Bill's Story: A Portrait of W. A. Sutton written by Pat Unger was published.
