About Nerissa Lea
Painter Nerissa Lea completed a Printmaking and Cinematography degree from the South Australian School of Art in Adelaide in 1982. Lea has held 16 solo exhibitions in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney between 1986 and 2016. She was awarded the S.H. Ervin Gallery Portia Geach Portrait Prize in 2004 and 2010. In 2017 she was a semi-finalist in the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery, London.
